pre-vocational foundation in dance and musical theatre

Our one year pre-vocational foundation course is designed specifically for performers who wish to progress onto further training at dance or drama school and would like a year of intensive training to ensure they are fully prepared and to put them in the best possible place to audition.

 

We will put you through your paces, working daily on fitness, dance skills, vocal technique, acting skills and audition technique as well as guiding you carefully through the application and audition process.

 

Our faculty have years of experience working in the industry as well as teaching at respected drama schools including Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, Bird College, London Studio Centre, Mountview, Urdang and more.

The training we provide will ensure you develop solid foundation technique across all disciplines as well as allowing you to explore further performance skills, setting you off on the right tracks to become the performer you want to be.

Previous students have gained places (often with funding) at top level drama / dance schools including Guildford School of Acting, Mountview, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Bird College, Laine Theatre Arts, London Studio Centre, Urdang and more.

Students are assessed rigorously throughout the course and are supported by outstanding pastoral care, dedicated physio support and more. All students receive individual one-to-one tuition from our leading faculty alongside a vast array of group classes and workshops with visiting creatives.

All our full-time courses maintain in the region of 30-35 contact hours throughout the entire course, running over 5 days Monday-Friday. You should expect to work intensively throughout the entire course. The demands placed on you will be high and you will be expected to complete work outside of normal hours. We push our students hard, set high expectations and will ensure you reach your potential as a professional, well-rounded, employable performer.

The one year foundation course costs £6,000.
